Help us to help the pine marten!

The pine marten is native to Britain and Ireland, though extremely rare in England and Wales. It is a member of the weasel family and related to the mink, otter, badger, stoat and weasel. The Vincent Wildlife Trust (VWT) is working hard to help secure the future of this fascinating animal, through research and practical conservation action. Prospects for Pine Martens

The Vincent Wildlife Trust has been researching this elusive mammal in Britain and Ireland for nearly 30 years. Even after all this time we are still not sure of its true status in England and Wales. In an attempt to establish just what is going on, the Trust has embarked on a new and exciting initiative. 'Prospects for Pine Martens' aims to find answers to some of the questions still being asked. Explore this website to find out more about pine martens.
